Padmashri Ramesh Sippy founded the Ramesh Sippy Academy of Cinema and Entertainment (RSACE), an initiative established in the year 2017 with an endeavour to give back and share the myriad experiences of over 4 decades.
It is an institute that is one of its kind in its tie-up with the highly respected and recognized University of Mumbai in association with the Garware Institute of Career Education and Development. This partnership awards a graduate degree to students who complete their study in any of the chosen programs of filmmaking. by the ace director Ramesh Sippy with the endeavour to share his knowledge and experience with the young and enthusiastic learners.
RSACE is affiliated with the University of Mumbai and the student’s graduating from RSACE receive a Degree from the University of Mumbai. The Graduate degrees are Internationally recognized. Ramesh Sippy Academy of Cinema and Entertainment was inaugurated by Padma Vibhushan Shri Amitabh Bachchan, and the Vice - Chancellor of Mumbai University.
RSACE has been ranked 8th and 7th consecutively for 2 years in a row by the Grand Jury awards in vocational and skill training by Education World and they were mentioned in the Hindustan Times 2019 as Educators Decoding Promising Careers in Film – Making.
Ramesh Sippy Academy offers 5 Degree Courses - Film Art (Direction), Animation, Screen-Writing, and Visual Effects (VFX) and Production and Management wherein we offer 25% theoretical education and 75% of hands-on practical training. We have Short Term Courses in Acting, editing and Photography, production, film making, production design Social Media Pro, Sound Design, Photo Shop and other courses in VFX and Animation as well. The courses are designed by industry specialists under the guidance of the chairman Mr. Ramesh Sippy.
RSACE has hosted guests master classes by Bollywood actors- Divya Dutta, Director Sujoy Ghosh, Producer Siddharth Roy Kapur, Nikkhil Advani, Sudhir Mishra, Sajid Khan, Director Screenwriter and Producer - Anurag Basu, Sachin Pilgaonkar etc.
