*Story*
Sujata, an ideal mother, battles the most challenging situation one can ever face — with a smile.
*Plus & Minus Points*
1)Acting
Kajol, Vishal Jethwa (film Mardani ), Rajiv Khandelwal, Prakash Raj, Rahul Bose & all others are good. Aneet Padda looks beautiful as Venky's girlfriend.
Aamir Khan is excellent in a very special role. Film delivers a strong social message to politicians, judiciary and the medical fraternity at large.
2) Direction
Revathi has made a sensitive film. It is based on a book ‘The last hurrah. Story is depressing with very few light moments. She should have worked harder on lighter aspects.
*3) Story, Screenplay & dialogues*
Based on a true incident, it happened in December 2004.. well before the supreme court judgement to allow euthanasia (Taking one's own life) which came in 2011 for a Mumbai nurse who was coma for over 40 years. Till date this is not allowed in India.
Screenplay is good in the first half but a bit boring due to prolonged dull scenes of media, courtroom and hospitals.
4)Music is okay as per the script. However, all songs are beautifully picturized.
*Box office*
Film is very well made and would be loved by the sensitive audience. But it will be tough to do a decent business at the box office.
