LONDON CALLING FOR APOORVA VYAS
HIS CHARACTER-DRIVEN FILM “FATHER ON SALE” TO ROLL FROM AUGUST 25!
On the Mothers’ Day it’s homecoming of all sorts for this bright and intelligent Apoorva Vyas as he headlines with his unique feature film “Father On Sale. The film will be a journey through a roller-coaster of emotions and suspenseful twists and turns to this character-driven subject which keeps the traditions at the grassroots level.
Excited and all geared up, the energetic and passionate filmmaker says, “Over the years, I have been a witness to the changing trend of the content landscape. Even my earlier film “Panethar” being made in Gujarati in the 80s was also a family-oriented emotional drama – a father and daughter’s relationship. This one too is on the similar lines. Being an emotional person I have chosen this arousing subject of a ‘father’s’ ordeal in parenting and his status within the family. It has taken me some time to write the script with a team of content creators and assistants. The story and screenplay has commercial sensibilities and well-defined mass appeal that will enhance the narrative of this film. It has sharp and entertaining dialogue which will take you to the next level. Many from Bollywood to Hollywood, whoever has gone through the bounded script have appreciated it including critics. More importantly there it has to touch the heart, making it an exciting opportunity to create something unique. It is a universal subject and I am sure every father across the globe will connect with it.”
Vyas further adds, “The film will be shot in two language formats – Hindi and English with an international appeal. It will be a two-month shooting schedule in the exotic and picturesque locales in London beginning from August 25 this year. Rajpal Naurang Yadav, Manoj Pahwa, Hemant Pandey are in the cast. Many other personalities from Bollywood and a new girl are under finalization. There are actors from the British film industry too. Our UK producers Kay Ajula and Jaspal Juttla are also in the process of roping in noted Hollywood cinematographer Wood Brothers.”
This isn’t Apoorva Vyas’s first brush with filmmaking. Hailing from an illustrious filmi-background, he was topper at the Royal Academy of Art and Drama (RADA) -the London Film School Academy from where he learnt filmmaking. Apart from regional feature films, he had also further forayed into the business with few award-winning short films and ad commercials.
“Father On Sale” is being made under the banner of Signature Cinema Makers and Indiam Global Entertainment.
