Overview:
A ghost reaches out to two bumbling ghostbusters for a business idea. However, their plans go downhill as the eerie ghost reveals her plan.
Plus Point:
Film is rich in terms of production design. Sets are good. VFX in some scenes are effective.
Minus points
1) Katrina Kaif never looked like a Bhoot. In fact, she looks more like glamourous wearing sexy attires, dancing and singing. Of course, zero in her acting.
Ishaan Khattar looks like a school drop out. He is not at all a hero material. Seems like he gets the work being Shahid Kapoor’s brother. It's funny to see him doing romantic scenes with his mother age (Katrina Kaif).
Siddhant Chaturvedi started his career with great acting in film Gully Boy. Now he is become an over-rated actor with zero acting skill.
2) Direction
Director failed to deliver even a single scene of good comic/ horror in the entire film.
3) Story, Screenplay Dialogues.
Story is a pure work of fiction. Writing is childish. Screenplay does not hold your attention. It's a bumpy ride all the way. No efforts have been made to write funny dialogues or create a horror impact.
4) Music.
Songs are picturized very well but without hit numbers.
5) Editing
Film is 137 minutes but full of idiotic scenes.
Box Office Verdict
This week releases (Mili and Phone Bhoot ) were made for OTT with pre condition that it has to be a theatrical release; makers were forced do it.
Shockingly this film is produced by Farhaan Akhtar company.
Looks like there was too much money to make a movie (rather than deliver quality stuff).
Sad states of affair going on in Bollywood. Many production houses are like Titanic ship which can sink any day.
